Spiritual Master Gu Cang is one of the strongest profound practitioners of Absolute Monarch Sanctuary. His title of 'Spiritual Master' signifies him as one of the 'Twelve Spiritual Masters', twelve of the strongest elders which consist of three level 10 monarchs, five level 9 and four late level 8 monarchs[1].
He is Xia Yuanba's master and is exceptionally kind and patient towards him. He is also helpful towards Yun Che.
Appearance[]
He has the appearance of an elderly man, wearing a light yellow robe with a horsetail whisk in hand. With white hair and brows, gentle face, he was like a Taoist celestial who was about to ascend the heavens.[2]
Personality[]
He has the air and disposition of a Taoist. He is very calm and respectful towards everybody. He treats Xia Yuanba very well and deals with his disciple's outbursts and unreasonable requests calmly and kindly. However, he is not a selfless saint. He supports Xia Yuanba because his disciple's talent is simply too astonishing. He speaks out to support Yun Che on several occasions but only as a way to appease Xia Yuanba.[3]

He found Xia Yuanba outside of Divine Phoenix City, beaten half to death. He saw that Xia Yuanba had the Tyrannical Emperor's Divine Veins and convinced Xia Yuanba to be his disciple.[4]
